Week Five of the Great British Bake Off was all about the pastry prowess of the remaining eight contestants. Fiona Longmuir grabbed her rolling pin before returning to live soggy-bottom-blogging duties.
Another week and another chance to soak up the Bake Off brilliance of Mel and Sue before the tent is pitched up in Channel Four’s back garden.
Pastry perfection was what was being sought in week five as the eight remaining bakers located their rolling pins, cookie cutters and apparently pasta makers (!) as they did their best to impress Paul and Mary.
Challenge wise, they were asked to serve up a Danish breakfast, a thoroughly British tart and a bite-size showstopper. Fiona Longmuir was delighted to be live blogging the lot. You can relive every knead, roll and glaze right here.
