Yes, we know, this has been the most stage-managed, least inspiring General Election in history. Like watching a choreographed wrestling match, where the media hand comedy weapons to the combatants and the hand-picked audience cheers like there’s happy gas being released from the building’s vents.

But, today the Great British general public, us loathsome oiks, finally got to join in, which means things should start to get interesting.
