There are just 120 minutes of The Great British Bake Off left on the BBC *sniff* but let’s not dwell on that. It’s Patisserie Week and GBBO superfan, Alison Carr was first with her hand up to live blog every last moment of in-tent drama. Join her from 8pm.
The semi-final of The Great British Bake Off sees just four bakers remaining. That tent has got to feel a bit drafty now, hasn’t it?
Patisserie Week is what’s happening for the second last BBC episode of the much-adored series and, as always, there will be three challenges for the quartet of Star Baker hopefuls to get their floury chops around.
The signature challenge will see them wrestling with a difficult French pastry. The technical lays down a task featuring a yeast-based cake with a fruity top and delicate chocolate work. Meanwhile the show-stopper – a multiple mini-cake bake – offers the bakers a last chance to show they have what it takes to be a GBBO finalist.
Now, we all know Alison Carr is devoted to all things Bake Off. Simply look here and here for exhibits A and B. She will be live blogging every last soggy bottom of tonight’s semi-final. Tune into BBC1 and join her from 8pm.4213 Views
