The Great British Bake Off has reached the quarter finals stage and the five remaining bakers will be faced with a triple challenge inspired by the Tudors, (the royal ones, not the crisps). Sarah Ledger is wearing the live blog crown tonight. Join her from 8pm.
Another week in the tent of piping dreams… and it’s the bloody quarter finals. A good time for another Bake Off first, then.
This week the remaining contestants are stepping back in time for Tudor Week. Mary and Paul have set a trio of challenges embracing a period filled with flamboyant banquets and impressive centre pieces. The showstoppers of their day, if you will.
Pies will be up first with the bakers being asked to come up with one of the savoury stuffed variety. The technical challenge will see them attempt an unusual Tudor biscuit, while the showstopper will have to be a ‘spectacle of marzipan’ fit to decorate the table at a fancy Tudor banquet.
This shit is getting serious now. There are only five bakers left. Who’s going to make it through to the semi finals? Sarah Ledger can’t wait to find out, and will be blogging the living crap out of every last bake. Be there with her from 8pm.3661 Views
