Standard Issue Presents… at Latitude

This weekend you can find Standard Issue somewhere, somewhere in a field in Suffolk.

Standard Issue is leaving the cosy confines of its internet base to bring Latitude revellers a dose of our smart, funny and brilliant women for a very special event in the festival’s Literary Arena this Sunday 19 July.

Standard Issue’s glorious leader Sarah Millican says: “We are thrilled to have been asked to join in the fun at Latitude. And crazy pleased at the broads who are taking part in our event.”

She’s not kidding – it’s a doozie of a line-up. Join editor Mickey Noonan, deputy editor Hannah Dunleavy, playwright and actor Sadie Hasler, TV presenter Andrea McLean, scientist Dr Suze Kundu, feminist activist and journalist Caroline Criado-Perez and comedians Sara Pascoe and Sofie Hagen for an hour of performance, conversation about being a woman in the modern world, and a brain-busting new (*ahem*) game called Top Donalds – with added Trump.

It’s a match made in heaven, really, and there are plenty of other Standard Issue women doing their thing at Latitude over the course of the weekend, including our astrologist extraordinaire Linda Cockshott, Angela Barnes, Zoe Lyons, Bryony Kimmings, Danielle Ward, Holly Walsh, Jenny Bede, Katherine Ryan, Pippa Evans, Rachel Parris, Sarah Kendall, Twayna Mayne, Kath Hughes and Kiri Pritchard-McLean (half of Gein’s Family Giftshop), and the Manic Street Preachers.

Latitude logoOkay, the Manics aren’t involved with Standard Issue, but we’re pretty sure they’d love us.

Please do join us if you’re at the festival. Forget Noel Gallagher: we’ve got the real high-flying birds.
